The response to the training has exceeded my expectations and you can see change taking place on a daily basis. This is really exciting for us.

Mark Saxton
HR Director, Arriva Plc

I really liked the open and honest environment. I felt it was the ideal place to make mistakes but also to rectify them without having to deal with the real consequences...made me realise and understand how all parties feel in certain circumstances rather than just be concerned about how I am feeling.

Our Approach

Flexibility

We offer a suite of training options and use a variety of creative methods from full scale, stage-managed theatrical productions, to smaller forum based theatre, followed by a shared learning session, managed by highly skilled facilitators.

Many of our clients incorporate our bespoke theatrical productions into their in-house training programmes, or send delegates to attend our open events as they tour around the country. Other clients have particular training requirements and we work closely with them to develop specific projects to meet their individual needs. This might involve the performing arts or more conventional training methods.

Multi-agency partnerships

Although some of our clients have very specific objectives, others share common goals and recognise the benefits of working in joint partnership with other organisations. We are advocates of partnership working and embrace the challenges and opportunities that this brings. We promote community cohesion and joined up working by bringing a number of diverse organisations together to form multi-agency partnerships.

Training large numbers

Staging our theatrical productions and workshops around the country makes it possible for significant numbers of delegates to experience our training at one time, thus maximising the experience yet minimising cost. A larger audience benefits from hearing and sharing experiences with a wider, more diverse group, which enhances the opportunity for learning and development. More than 50,000 individuals throughout the UK have experienced one of our theatrical productions since 2000.

Hot Topics

Our unique approach lends itself effectively to the following topical issues:-

Bullying

The abuse of power can cause stress and anxiety in the work place resulting in reduced staff morale and performance.

Our high impact training events examine the effects of bullying behaviour and explore strategies for dealing effectively with negative language and behaviour.

Gender equality

The Gender Equality Duty comes into force in April 2007 requiring public authorities to promote gender equality and eliminate sexual discrimination. Our events are designed to tackle the issues affecting women in employment and explore the actions necessary to enable female employees to achieve their full potential.

Age

Recent legislation means employers must understand the implications of new regulations and are likely to require a fundamental change in mindset. Our events are designed to help employers recognise the need to ensure age equality provision and understand the business benefits of an age diverse workforce.

Communication

Powerful communication techniques are vital for achieving high performance in business - our training explores the negative impact of poor communication and enhances natural communication skills - improving how to motivate, influence and interact with others.

Diversity

Successful organisations have demonstrably embraced diversity, with services that reflect the needs of the community and a culture that attracts the best talent.

Our work around the area of equality and diversity is increasingly relevant as the diversity agenda continues to gather momentum and more and more organisations recognise the need to develop cultures and practices which encourage understanding and respect.

Our approach has been successfully used by individual organisations eager to drive the diversity agenda forward. Alternatively, we have developed a unique partnership approach to training which brings together local organisations to challenge mindsets, helping to embrace diversity and create social inclusion within the wider community.
